How does a deluxe flushable unit differ from a standard one?
| Feature | Standard unit | Deluxe flushable |
|---|---|---|
| Flush | No, waste drops into the tank | Foot-pump flush with fresh water |
| Hand washing | Sanitizer on many models | Small sink on many models |
| Interior space | Compact | Roomier |
| Hookups | None | None |
| Typical use | Job sites, large crowds | Parties, corporate events, small weddings |
Features vary by model, so ask what the unit you are quoted includes.
When is a deluxe unit worth it?
Choose deluxe units when guests will notice the difference, such as backyard parties, corporate events, smaller weddings and anniversaries, and the budget does not stretch to a restroom trailer or the site has no power for one.
Do deluxe units need servicing?
The flush uses a fresh-water tank, so for long events or multi-day rentals ask for servicing that refills the water as well as pumping and restocking.
